I was invited by a new Youtube friend, Libby to participate in a Blogland Tour. I am honored that she chose me to participate. Libby has a blog and a Youtube channel, she does videos on thrifting and many crafty activities. Right now she is working on her bathroom makeover and is taking us along with her. She has shared the process with us on video and found some awesome deals along the way. You have to check it out it is looking amazing and I can't wait to see the finished room reveal. I bet she can't wait to be done with it too!
Please go check her out she is a really inspiring and motivating person, I feel fortunate that we have become friends over the last few months. I know you will enjoy her blog and videos! About me What I am working on? I really have been focusing quite a bit on simplifying and reducing the amount of stuff in our lives. I just feel the need to pare down what we have to only things we love and use. The rest is just taking up space!! Donating and letting go feels so good. We have already taken 2 large truck loads to donate and I am working on the next load now. How does my work differ from others in the genre? I am in a different stage of life than most of the bloggers and Youtubers that I watch. My kids are older, so I don't have the same struggles and challenges. I bring a different perspective to the table than most of the gals I watch on Youtube. Why do I write/create what I do? Honestly I just enjoy it. I have blogged for a long time, but in the last year have spent more of my free time on making videos. I enjoy sharing projects, meal planning, hauls etc. How does your writing/creative process work? I am just a think it, do it kinda gal with both blogging and Youtube. I keep a list of ideas and just share what I want when I want. But there is no real grand plans. I think it would feel too much like work if I was too scheduled with it. Sharing the Love! And now I would like to share another new friend I have met through Youtube and she also has a blog. Bridgett is such a sweet and kind friend. I feel fortunate to have met and developed a friendship with her through Youtube.
She share vlogs, thrifting hauls, crafting and organization projects on her blog and Youtube Channel. She shares her family and her heart with you in her videos. She is just a kind and genuine person, which is why I was drawn to her channel. I think you will really enjoy her so go on over to her blog and Youtube channel to check her out.
We were lucky enough to be able to remodel our kitchen about 9 years ago to get the kitchen of our dreams. I still love it today. My favorite parts are the large island and that it is part of the great room.
We decided it was time to redo our office, it had been almost 4 years and the pumpkin orange colored walls were not working for me any longer. When I painted it that color I loved it, but the room gets very little natural light and is small room so the pumpkin orange made the walls feel like they were closing in on you when you spent much time in there. I was more than ready for a change. To brighten it up and update the space a bit we changed the wall color to a blue gray color. We used Behr paint from Home Depot in light french gray, added new window treatments and rug from Target. We also found an awesome filing cabinet at Salvation Army that fit the space perfectly.
If you would like to see the before here is the blog post from the last time I redid the room. Office Before
I was challenged by Hilary at Mysocalledhome to find some Spring decor items at the Goodwill or a thrift store but only spend five dollars. While it was a challenge to spend so little I had a fun time searching for items. I went to two different Goodwill's to find my items. Hope you enjoy this video.
One of my goals was to do better with meal planning. I do great some weeks and others I am just winging it. A couple times last year I tried monthly meal planning, but never really stuck to it. I have decided to give it another try and so far so good a week into the new year.
Here is the video I made with my specific plan for meal this month.
I would love to hear if you meal plan. Weekly? Monthly?
