So I having been trying to rebuild my wardrobe after gutting my closet. It has been a sloooowwwwwww process. Pants are the greatest challenge.....I have probably tried on 4o pairs in the last couple weeks and have bought 4 of them. FRUSTRATING! It is just hard to find the right cut and size to fit and that look good too.
I really have trouble spending money on myself. But I am pushing through and making it happen. I am trying to get it done frugally too....so that is helping me justify the shopping LOL.

Oh gosh, we sound like two peas in a pod. I am the worst about buying things for myself. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and you'll find a great wardrobe. You deserve it.
I, too, hate spending money on myself...but it is necessary sometimes.
try local thrift stores
I am going to help the economy too...going shopping and out to lunch. I hate trying on clothes, but I need some new stuff too.
I love Goodwill and 2nd hand stores. I can ususally find a name brand pair of jeans for under $7.00!!!!
Good for you Lou Ann...you deserve some new goodies just for you. Yes, pants are the worst...it is so hard to find a cut that fits well, is stylish, and reasonabley priced! You should try the personal shoppers at Macy's...it's called, MBA (Macy's By Appointment) and it is a free service. They pull clothes for you and you try them on in a special fitting room where they help you find just the right fit for you! The free part is best...even if you don't buy the Macy's clothes, you get a very good understanding of waht is the best look for you!
Good luck, I always think I find something I like then I try it on. I always have issues with tops.
