Sadness

My family is feeling such sadness and loss....our dog Domino passed away yesterday. He was the best dog we could have ever asked for our family. He was almost 18 years old....he had a long life...which we are so grateful for. We had time to say goodbye to him which was a blessing. But the loss is so very hard. I miss him so much!!

I am so sorry.I know words can never help the pain, but I truly understand. We had a Boston Terrier that I had for 17 years. She was like one of the kids. She had probably been in more hotels than some people. She went every where we did. When we lost her I thought the whole family would fall apart. The kids by then were grown and we had a funeral. My made and inscribed a beautiful cross and my son-in-law had a beautiful piece of granite cut for the grave. It all sounds nuts to some, but I know you will understand.
Many hugs,Brenda

Hi. I saw you post about having a rough week over at SITS so came to see if I could offer an encouraging word. The loss of a pet is so hard, especially one who has been a part of your life for that long. I've had pets all of my life and we very recently lost one of our labs. She died in my arms, as did my 22 year old dog before her, so I know how those last moments can be. Not long after our labs passing, God brought me a VERY unexpected surprise when He opened the door for us to take in a little 5 week old puppy that somebody had abandoned in a Walmart parking lot. What a blessing and a healing it has been to open my heart and love this little puppy who was just discarded. God really does work in mysterious ways.

I'm so sorry for your loss. May He also bring healing to your family.

I can't imagine how hard that was for you and your family :-(. I dread the day something happens to our Grace and Sister. They aren't just pets, they are members of our family.

((((VERY big hug))))

Oh sweet friend... I so know what you are going through. I saw my husband off to work like every morning but this morning he came running straight back into the house. I knew something had gone very wrong! Drake is an inside dog but we let him out to do business and he comes right back in. We live on a dead end country road so really no fears. All of my neighbors watched out and love him...he was so tiny, only 4 pounds. I think it was the school bus...never stopped..never looked back...so cruel~ My heart does go out to you and your family. Take care~
